Introducing Paget Construction
Wayne and Miranda Paget have run Paget Construction as a family owned business since 1993.
Based in Rotherham in the Hurunui District where they have lived for 44 years, Paget Construction builds new homes, farm buildings and holiday homes, while also doing a lot of extension and renovation work to existing properties, along with maintenance work.
Wayne is a registered Licensed Building Practitioner (LBP). The business also has access to an architectural draftsman, and a concept architect to assist with building plans if you don’t already have your own plans completed. We have a Health and Safety system in place which is audited every 12 months. Wayne is still working on the job along with a team of 3-4 experienced builders and also employs apprentices.
As a business we take pride in the quality of our workmanship, our reliability and the life long relationships with have with our customers, who often return to us for several different projects over the years. We look forward to working with new customers and helping you work through the early stages of your projects to get to the stage of construction, as well as carrying out the construction and delivering a high quality build every time.

We engaged Paget Construction to build a holiday home in a relatively remote coastal site in North Canterbury.
We had never undertaken a project to build before so we were looking for a professional credible partner who could guide us through the process and advise us on the best options. As we were working to a tight budget we also needed someone who was flexible and willing to work with us to find creative solutions to keep costs under control. Added to this was the fact we were located two hours from the building site so good communication was really important to us.
We thoroughly enjoyed the process of completing the build. Wayne and his team were fantastic. Nothing was a problem, the standard of workmanship is outstanding and we would not hesitate to recommend them.

This is our second major renovation we have undertaken. Our first being a renovation to an original homestead built in 1958. What started as a add on became a complete demolition and rebuild. Our advise from Paget Construction was, "it would be cheaper to demolish and rebuild than to try and add old to new". Good advise, we ended up with a beautiful new home.
Our second renovation was when we moved and bought another home which again needed some major renovations.
This 'add on' was a challenging lengthy process. Paget Construction embraced this major challenge through all seasons. Their personal approach made the whole renovation an easier transition for us as our living conditions where very difficult.
We would not hesitate to contract Paget Construction in any further work that is required.

Wayne and his team of 2 men came on board with our build at a very difficult time. We were not even half way through our build and our current builder had left us stranded. Paget Construction battled daily with rectifying irregular and incorrect building measures to make our half built house a home we were satisfied with. Wayne and his team proved to be reliable, honest and hard working. We were not building a home like any other, it was an entry level architectural home with detailing and materials that required care and precision, to which Wayne and his men fastidiously approached their build practice each day. The best part about getting Wayne on board was he was prepared to take on a half completed job and see it through to completion. His approach was no fuss and that suited us.
